I agree, but it will hold a place in a lot of our hearts.

Love this movie, especially because it has the Skin Man as the Shocker himself. :twirl:
I preferred House III, which was quite similar...
Shocker has a special place in my heart. It was right at the end of the 80s, and the end of 80s-style slasher horror. I was about 18, just out of high school, newly mobile with a car, and right into slasher movies and heavy metal, which this movie had both of. I think I still have the soundtrack on cassette in a box somewhere. It's just associated with some great memories, and a fun movie too, in retrospect. Watched it on TV a few months ago, and still enjoyed it. Not the greatest movie of its time, but it has its moments. The best part for me is basically everything that happens in the prison leading up to Pinker's execution. There are some good laughs there.
It was also the first time I recall seeing Mitch Pileggi in anything, and he's impressed me in roles since. Skinner, of course, but there are others. Really enjoyed seeing him as a sad and ironically sympathetic serial killer on Criminal Minds not too long ago.
