Title: 3 Recent Films
Post by: Scott on August 23, 2005, 02:41:42 PM
Using my Blockbuster coupons lately. Rent one get one free deals. Here's what I've seen over the past couple days.

NATIONAL TREASURE (2004) - Good movie making by Disney. Both subject, actors, and story were very good. I think it's the first time we have seen the Masons mentioned in film. It captured the spirit of a grail type quest and even the INDIANA JONES films. This is a film for the collection.

KUNG FU HUSTLE (2004) - First half of the film I had trouble getting into then they release Mr. Beast from the mental institute and things get a lot better. This film also caught some of the elements of Kung Fu legend and knowledge. Had to rent it after the high recommendations here on the badmovies.org messageboard. A good fun CGI Subtitled movie.

MOTORCYCLE DIARIES (2004) - This is the story of a journey by revolutionary Che Guevara when he was young traveling through South America. The film absorbs you as you see the transformation of these two young people, not really because of the plight of the individuals they come across, but rather just the uncertain trip they took. It's a foriegn film with subtitles.

National Treasure was OK.

All throughout the film I could not help but notice how Nick Cage looks as though he just got out of bed.
What was up with his hair?
