We rented Dead-Alive and it SAID unrated on the back but when we started watching it it was all butchered and all the good stuff was edited out. I really wanted to see it too. Anyway, I'll prolly find it from somewhere else but for now I'm left with an bad feeling..

Maybe someone did like a friend of mine did. He rented the unrated version and gave back his R-rated version vhs tape in it's place
most of the time it's because they by more than one copy of a tape but two different versions and mix them together. like evil dead had both the corny 7 dollar edition and the special edition and whoever got lucky would rent the special. the only thing i can say is look at the tape it usually has the rating on the actuall cassette and if it's a dvd then i don't know what the hell to tell you.
I dunno, the corny seven-buck edition seems to have the right ambience.

Has anyone bought this tape from amazon? They say VHS - Unrated. I was going to buy it, but now I'm wondering......
All I can say is caveat emptor.
