In August I went down to my good old Blockbuster and scanned around for a while. I didn't feel like renting anything and began to leave. When I glanced at the "for sale" table something caught my eye.
It was in fact a childhood memory, a little t.v. special called "Dinosaurs (repeat twice more)"
This with another special called "More Dinosaurs" both starred the every so dorky looking Eric Boardman and the every so mustached Gary Owens as Dinosaurs experts. Both had clips from movies and interviews with experts on dinos.
"Dinosaurs" is about Gary , for some reason other, is turning into a dinosaur (don't snicker this is serious). Eric has to go get some water from a special fountain or somehting in England. And of course he waists time talking to people. Your friend's turning into a dinosaur you dick!
"More" is my personal favorite. I've only seen Dinosaurs a few times but since I've owned "more" since I was a small lad I've practically got the movie memorized. In this one Gary sends of Eric to find more Dinosaurs. ("Eric, you can never get enough") Now of course this is a prank since all of the dinosaurs have bound to have all died out by now but just wait until you seen the end, Eric gets the last laugh.
These specials had some corny humor in them, there were pretty much for kids but these can now be hillarious to adults because these were done in the eighties.
(Looks at the previous invision of the T-rex) I think someone needs to upgrade their Dino facts.
And I love the artwork for their video releases.

When I tried looking these up at IMDb and the internet in general, to my horror I found barly any mention of these movies. If they were listed NO ONE has posted about them.
Seriously these need a DVD release.
So, am I the one person that knows about these movies?
I have had "Dinosaurs" on tape since I was a kid. Always wanted to see "More Dinosaurs", never did though. I'd definately buy a double feature disc if it was available. Two more things. The guy peddling the Dinosaur patch creeps me out, did this guy do any thing else? Still want to see Gorgo, it looked friggin cool.
What Dinosaur patch? What do you mean, Dreggen?
I apologize for the three year delay. In Dinosaurs Dinosaurs Dinosaurs when Eric Boardman first goes into the museum an man behind a desk offers him a jacket patch. Eric declines and walks away while the man cackles away behind him. Seemed kind of odd to me as a child.
Wow, someone bumped an old thread and added something meaningful! :buggedout:
