Title: Any One seen ....
Post by: systemcr4sh on January 08, 2002, 06:33:31 PM
Drive-In, Or Children Of the Living Dead??

I saw DRIVE-IN and it was so terrible, Just some stupid retarded kid who kills some people, and none of them are very gory, or funny for that matter. And some fat goth chick got killed in the nude, and was flabbing all over the place. UGH!

I haven't seen Children of the Living dead but I hear that it was really bad..

Both of these movies are straight to video, came out at around the same time...

I've got a DVD copy of Children of the Living Dead and oh my god is it s**t. Tom Savini is in it for what must be 5 mins before he gets killed by a serial killer/sex offender/zombie. It's also an unofficial sequel to Night of the Living Dead, although it says it the "Long awaited sequel" as if Dawn and Day never happened.

Children of the living dead is certainly not the worst zombie related film ever made but it is definitely pretty bad. I also have the dvd and they do kill Savini off early (why? he was the only thing the movie had going for it basically) I guess maybe he got disgusted, said film me for 10 minutes and then kill me off. It has some zombie kills but none are too memorable and the dialog is just plain bad and terribly acted at times with characters you could careless about. I would give it a 1 and a half out of 5 just for some ok scenes alone. Artisian released the dvd and it is in widescreen unlike their bad attempts at films like sleepless (in pan and scan and cut), ginger snaps (full screen I think and without extras that are featured on the Canadian release.)

I have too much love for STUDENT BODIES.  Far more than it actually deserves.

"I just wanted to call to say I've killed and I'll kill again.  Click!"

"Did you just hang up?"

"No, I just said 'click'."

Damn, I love that movie.  I should seek help.

Student Bodies is definately one of my favs.    The 'Rolltop Desk of Doom' where the killer finally decides on the paperclip killed me(no pun intended).   Scary Movie doesn't hold a candle to this one.....

Of course I NEVER drink the punch at parties.....
