Title: Fire & Ice
Post by: ThadC on December 01, 2005, 01:17:04 PM
I seen this movie some years ago, and forgot all about it. I decided to dig through my box of crap I still had not unpacked when I moved, and found it in the bottom. I watched it a little while ago, and man... that flic is silly. The whole animation is a bit like the old Heavy Metal, and the plot is right up there with any outher S&S flic I have seen. I think I will have to put it back on the shelf to watch again. I am not really sure if I liked it or not. What do you guys think about it?

Both Todd and I picked this up when the DVD came out.  I immediately figured out that the movie had a higher cool factor for an 11 year-old boy.  However, the character design was quite good.  Lone Wolf kicked serious butt and the one scene when you first see the princess was classic Frazetta.  From the setting to the girl, you name it.

I think a remake would be cool using the new CGI tech. that we have today. Maybe a little tweek in the story here, and there. What do you think?

I saw this one, when it first came to the theater. A typical Ralph Bakshi film, but I've always thought he was underrated as a filmmaker. He made this one in conjunction with Frank Frazetta, whose style of art is noticable throughout the film. I enjoyed it.
