When I was a kid on saturday mornings after all the cartoons were over they had kung fu theater. I remember one that was about shaolin trials, or something along the line. It had people with names like Lizard, and Cobra. The main character was on poles with blades under his arms holding buckets. Also someone was killing people with a long needle up the nose... What the hell is this movie, and where can I get it? Any ideas?
Oh yeah, any ideas on outher kung fu movies I might like too. I am going to start a collection of them. I have about every Bruce Lee, Jet Li, Jacky Chan movie out.
I just bought a few CDs for cheap that have these crazy old Kung Fu movies....
Like Marvelous Kung Fu (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082720/) and I think Zombie vs Ninja (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094384/) but I have it as Super Ninja Master
Thad,
I'm personally a huge follower of Sonny Chiba. I would say that any of the Street Fighter films or Shogun's Ninja will more than satisy your kung fu fix.
I agree with Skaboi about the Sonny Chiba flicks. I bought a 4 DVD set a couple of years ago that had uncut, widescreen versions of:
THE STREETFIGHTER
RETURN OF THE STREETFIGHTER
SISTER STREETFIGHTER
THE STREETFIGHTER'S LAST REVENGE
These are great movies to watch after midnight on a Friday or saturday.
thanx, I will have to get those.
I can't place that exact movie. sounds quite colorful. the guy with blades under his arms reminds me of "master killer" where they had blades under their arms and had to carry buckets of water up a hill.
Not sure if that is it, but i will get it anyway. Guess I will buy every kung fu movie ever made till I find it.... this could get expensive
USA use to have Kung Fu Theater on Saturday mornings in the 80's. I always liked the films where the student has to revenge the death of the master and uses all these secret training methods to prepare for the challenge.
I was looking on amazon, and there are a load of those movies on there. I'm sure some of them are crap, but for the most part they are pretty cool. Guess I had better get busy ordering...
there s a website called bejing video. that guy would know
