Title: A movie made with my express help
Post by: Scottie on December 04, 2005, 04:30:00 PM
A while back, likely over the summer, I began ranting about how I had helped to make this super cool 16mm and 35mm short. Well, when I finished it, I never suspected it would get much further than my living room. However, the professor who wrote and directed the short has put it up online!

It's called "Not Alone" and it was shot in about three days and edited in about a week. We used sync sound cameras with a Nagra reel to reel audio recorder that was transferred to DV and edited on Final Cut HD Express.

My specialty in this shoot was the lighting and grip work for most of the movie. I also did a lot of the handheld camera stuff on 16mm and I even got to direct the flashback sequence. All of the actors are from the area (Boone, NC), and I should get a casting credit for two of the people, but I'm not a complainer. I'm just so happy people will be able to see some of the projects I've done! Tell me what you all think!

Not bad. Only thing I seen that was off was the girl was suppused to be dead for about a year, right? She would not have much flesh on her hand after being burried for that long. Bloated, and stinky. The scene where he finds her body in the hole, and holds her hand, her hand would have been all nasty. Other than that I liked it.

Not bad Scottie.  Production value was really good for being shot in 3 days by film students.

Congrats!
