Title: That appeared to be a crash
Post by: Menard on November 14, 2006, 09:43:56 PM
It appears as though the board is back up, but a few very recent posts also appear to have been lost.

I'm guessing that the database crashed (my non-technical terms), and Andrew had to restore it from the most recent database.

I still want the scrolling text though.

Three cheers for Andrew

That was caused by my actions.  I had made a backup just before what I did, but we did lose about 20 minutes.  My apologies.

Are you trying for the move button?

It is on the little toolbar.  It has an "M" and arrows on it.  If you need to use it in HTML, then the HTML tag is marquee (with brackets around it and a close marquee at the end of course).

<marquee>This would move under normal HTML</marquee>

Oh, you mean like this?

I thought it was like a feature that could be added to a sig.

I need to try out some of these new features.

heh...heh  :teddyr:

You can make text move in your sig by enclosing it in those move brackets, like in a post.  I just tested it with mine.

Uh...can the size of the sigs be increased? Mine is getting a little crowded. :bouncegiggle:

I know your type!  You are a packrat!  I have a friend, older gent, he has two barns full of "great stuff."  It would take a team of workers days to unpack one barn so he could get to anything in the back.

Signatures increased in size, but let's keep those reasonable.  You do not have to make fun of every single person with your sig.  Try only listing 33% at a time.  Break it up some.

Making fun of one person at a time works for me. It keeps the others wondering who's next. (http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Others/others-161.gif)

Yeah but that's an old pic.
That one was taken Halloween 2002.

The others were taken in early 2003.

That's only one of the many I have.

Remember the magazine cover I did of you?
