This is one of the top 10 horror films ever made! The fantastic special effects make this a true classic! This is a masterpiece of gore!

Whoopsie! Check the Internet Movie Database listing on the main "Pigs" page--this movie has about fifty damned alternate titles, including "The Strange Love Exorcist"--wow--and stars Katherine (The Swarm) ROSS! I asked 'Fenris' about Ms. Ross' participation in this travesty a while back before I wised up and checked the IMDB; his copy apparently has an alternate name for Ms. Ross...who can blame her? Search for it as "Daddy's Deadly Darling." I HAVE to see this wad of yak!

The IMDB has been corrected; it ain't the same Katherine Ross.

Not only is this bad, it's almost impossible to sit through. Being drunk does not help during the "film" but it certainly helps afterward.... Right up there with "Nail Gun Massacre."

When I watched this God forsaken movie, one prayer came to mind " LORD, GIVE ME CANCER NOW!"

"Pigs" is a brilliant low-budget movie. It makes use of the simplest elements and succeeds in surpassing its limitation by leaps and bounds. How sad that so many narrow-minded people would trash simply because they saw no "gore."

When you hold a film to such shallow standards without even the simplest attempt at appreciating it, it's truly a tragedy.

Back to ignorant bashing we go.

I should also add that the sing-song nursery rhyme repeated throughout the film is an excellent dramatic device. The review is extremely shortened and highly misleading. It makes the movie sound as deep as a 90s teen horror Wes Craven flick.

As far as the actors ending up as starving artists, Marc Lawrence has starred in countless gangster roles throughout the years and is a very well known, accomplished actor.

A bit of clarification which seems to have completely escaped every one: the jumpy dialogue, dream sequences, and *everything* else about the movie which everyone is so conviently ridiculing are all done intentionally: they are the very things which create the nightmarish feel of the picture -- and no, not because they're "bad," as if that wasn't obviously enough a cheapshot.

"Somebody's waiting for you, somewhere down the road!"
I can't believe noone has mentioned the catchy theme song during the credits.  This is by far the worst movie I've ever seen and I know my friends agree.  I now eat pork, ham, bacon and other pig products as much as possible just so that I can feel like I am evening the score.  Not only has it not erased the painful memory of this movie, I now have high blood pressure and will probably die within the next 6 months.  Thank you, PIGS, for ending my life.  At least I won't have any more nightmares of being trapped in a pig pen while a crazy, old farmer tells me I'm a troublemaker.

I couldn't watch this entire movie . I got it at a yard sale for a buck and actually threw it away half way through -even a drunken stupor didn't help. I have no idea (and dont really know if I want to know) what these people were thinking about when this movie was made . And to think the movie was actually released by some company! I have watched some incredible movies in my life and actually enjoy B-movies alot. But this one is a total loss. save your pennies and watch plan 9 instead.

The movie may be bad, but keep in mind that the basic premise of feeding people to pigs is well documented.  Joe Ball did indeed run a roadhouse, and fed victims to his pigs.  Also, the current case of the Canadian prostitute killer, who used the same method.  Now there is real horror.

Ok, I am confused.  I watched a movie with a similar plot (some guys feeding ppl to pigs) But it involved a bunch of high school kids and maybe even a dance.  It was incredibly awful and damn near impossible to sit through.  I wish I could remember the title.

I thought that my wife and I were the only idiots who had watched this film...It has been about two years since we watched it and the images are still burned into our brains about how bad it is and that damn music that kept playing as the girl danced around.  This movie needs it's own support group for how bad it was and to help ppl get over the trama from watching it.

On a ligter note the movie did have two god points--
1.  The cover with the pig, whos tusks were incrusted with blood.
2.  The movie final ended

This movie undoubtedly should win the award for either the greatest torture device ever invented (like something used in "A Clockwork Orange") or for one of the greatest failures of all mankind. I have yet to see "The Cars that Ate Paris", but this movie stands out in my mind as the WORST BAD MOVIE OF ALL TIME.  Just thinking about the lush cinematography (filmed by a three year old in the dark) or the complicated plot is enough to send me into chronic spasms...this movie holds a rare distinction as a movie that outlasted me--I couldn't sit all the way through it!  Bravo!

I saw this movie one Saturday night in Phoenix, Arizona (on vacation!) and fell in love with it - and Elvira!
For years my friend and I had jokes about pigs and Hormel.  I still send him a Habitat for Humanity pig gift certificate each Christmas.  So there was SOME good there.
I wish I could find it for purchase.

Did you know that William Pickton a serial killer of female prostitutes in Port Coquitlam BC Canada fed dead women's bodies to his pigs. I wonder if he watched and got ideas from the movie Pigs???

If anyone wants to see a great B movie on a Pig this is not the one to see and watch.I reccomend seeing and renting at least the great B film of Razorback. That is the true horror classic on a Pig,not this junk of a film.At least Razorback has a good premise behind it.This has no premise whatsoever.Unless you want to call complete violence, and gore a great story.Bad bad film.Sueeee.

With due respect to PIGS, in my opinion, the WORST movie ever made is Barn of the Blood Llama.  It is bad on soooo many levels, it's hillarious.

"Somebody's waiting for you, somewhere down the road!"
I can't believe no one has mentioned the catchy theme song during the credits.

I saw this film on Elvira Mistress of the Dark and the song stayed with me always. Years later I wrote a song to go with the above line, which is all I could remember. The song 'PIGS' was recorded by my band Bob Spelled Backwards of Boone, NC (where such things as depicted in the film could be happening). We then  shot our own ten-minute movie of PIGS, based upon an alien invasion plot that has nothing to do with the movie; the song is played by the alien rock band.

SO basically  this horrible movie has actually affected my life and that of many other people. Which is very strange.

I remember getting this movie on VHS when I was about 9 or 10, thinking it was going to be an animal attack film.  Boy, did I learn something about film that day.

It was released on DVD a while back.  Amazon.co.uk carries it (I think you are in the UK):

Pigs on DVD at Amazon.co.uk (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0007WFUTC?ie=UTF8&tag=badmoviesorg-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B0007WFUTC)

A warning, the listing says it is an all-region, PAL DVD.  I am pretty sure that is incorrect and it is a Region 1, NTSC DVD.

I had to speak up in defense of "Pigs", aka "Daddy's Deadly Darling".  I happen to think it's a brilliant low budget horror flick.  If you enjoy the charm of cheap drive-in movies, then you will probably enjoy this one.  I consider it on a par with "Don't Look in the Basement".  A few folks posted her asking where to find it on DVD.  It was released by Troma, but the print used was the edited TV print.  If you want to see a better print, there was a double-feature disc issued on a budget label the coupled "Pigs" with the movie "Embryo".  The print of "Pigs" used in that budget disc appears to be the unedited print that includes a lot of severed limbs and blood, which admittedly look awfully fake.  You should not seek out "Pigs" for the gore, that's for sure.  But it's one of the best wacky drive in movies about crazy people that I have ever seen.
