Title: Grendel (2007)
Post by: Kester Pelagius on January 16, 2007, 12:39:49 AM
Greetings All,

I'm not sure when the Sci-Fi Channel started running movies on Saturday but if you missed their premier of Grendel (http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-qzcELew6frWBZspks_7SsnUuv9VNTUA-?cq=1&p=175) you truly missed something special in the annuls of bad movie history.  I know what you're thinking, nothing can worse that Christopher Lambert's Beowulf, right?

Actually yes, yes it can.  It's called Grendel (http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-qzcELew6frWBZspks_7SsnUuv9VNTUA-?cq=1&p=175) and stars Marina Sirtis and Ben Cross.  Enjoy the review!

Had a chance to watch this Saturday night (it did look interesting), but we re-watched MISS CONGENIALITY instead.  I'm not sure what this says about us....

I missed it, forget what I was doing.

For the life of me I can't figure out why Marina Sirtis was so popular on TNG. She could couldn't act and wasn't that pretty and 'Deanna Troi' wasn't nothing but a whiny mind reader that needed b***h slapping. Anyway, seem they're are a lot of 2nd and 3rd string Sci-Fi show actors and actresses doing low budget movie here lately. I watched "Shockwave" the other night a DTV movie that was loaded with 2nd and 3rd stringers ... the movie still sucked.

Because she was the closest thing to Uhuru TNG had.

'Deanna Troi' wasn't nothing but a whiny mind reader that needed b***h slapping.

Annoying as her "state the obvious" character was me thinks the only character in need of a good biotch slapping was Snottly Crusher.  If ever they do another time travel Star Trek series they seriously need to have someone phaser him.  Not that I want to see another Star Trek series about time travel. . .

Ditto that.  She never was one of my favorite characters.  The hot one that show was Gates McFadden.

Amen brother, that would be the one I'd 'engage' and 'make it so' with. She's a babe!

You need a new Lit teacher, this didn't come close to the classic story. What was there point of having you watch it ... all I can think of is abuse!

I caught it on the 2nd showing ... kept saying to myself "is it over yet?"

we were reading Beowolf at the time and she was all like "there is a movie called 'grendel' on si fi. go watch it, you SCUM." Then the bell rang and she unlocked our chains and we trudged out of the room.
