Title: Heroes!
Post by: Zapranoth on March 17, 2007, 02:03:03 AM
First post in the subforum; yay!

Okay, all the rest of you who are suffering the rigors and myalgias of Heroes withdrawal.   Sound off.

Do you think Peter will waste Sylar in the next episode, or further down the line?

Do you subscribe to the "Sylar will be the ongoing villain of the show" theory, or do you (as I do) figure Sylar will die soon, only to be replaced by someone bigger and badder, in true comic book tradition?

Oh I definetly believe Peter is going to waste Sylar. He has to get better control of the powers he absorbs first. So it will most likely take one more ep before we see that.
I'm assuming from the ep-[The Company Man] that there are bigger and badder people out there to carry on in the second season.

The rumor mill says that Peter will be throwing Sylar out the window, but nothing about finishing him off.

The producers recently let the word out that Linderman (Malcom McDowell) belongs to a group of older "Heroes" that used their powers for personal gain and that Linderman is behind to nuking of New York. I am assuming that Hiro's father (George Takei) is also a member of this group.

Is someone going to save Bennet (aka HRG) and how long has the Petrelli boy's mom known about their powers?

Supposedly they are going to wrap up the threads at the end of this season in order to introduce some new Heroes next year.

I wonder if perhaps the Petrellis' late father wasn't part of Linderman's super group.

I think Peter is going to waste Sylar, but not immediately.  Peter's ability to use the abilities of others must be more powerful than Sylar, as his is natural.  He doesn't have to rip open the brain of someone to get at the power.  However, that being said, it's not to say that Sylar, if not killed, may not reach that point himself.

I think that Hiro's father is definitely a member of the older group, as shown in the little flashback scene of HRG's earliest days in the Company.  Did anyone else notice that Hiro's father's car license plates were a nice homage to Star Trek?

I wonder about Sylar though.  Suresh's father seemed to think he was almighty damn important, but his "talent" doesn't impress me that much, in it's current incarnation.  If his was naturally like Peter's, then yes, that's amazing....perhaps he's not utilizing his power the way Dr. Suresh thought he should?  Not to state the obvious, that is...

Do you wonder if Mama Petrelli has some abilities of her very own?  And who was Mr. Invisible protecting to begin with?  Just himself, or someone else?

I also wonder if HRG won't come up with a power.....

I just can't see HRG as anything but a normal.   We'll see though...   looks like he's in the stew now.

I particularly enjoyed the episode when Takei was arguing with Hiro about his path.  The tough guy talk back and forth in Japanese.   Great.    =)

Truly, of anyone, Hiro should have the most possibility to be the most dangerous (excepting Peter of course).  Depending on just how far he can affect those in slow time while he's accelerated, he could waste Sylar at will, too.   Just ask Isaac to paint a picture of where Sylar is, right now.   Teleport there, and stop time for Sylar.

Douse Sylar with a ten gallon can of gasoline, and flick a Bick his way.   Move away from him, and then resume normal time.  Empty a machine gun into him while he's wailing and immolated, if so desired...

But Hiro won't be required to do that since probably Peter is gonna be the one to do him in.
