Title: Defcon! Post by: Zapranoth on April 20, 2007, 12:56:24 AM Ambrosia Software just released a Mac port of Introversion's "Defcon."
It's a WarGames style nuke everybody game. Yeehaw. :hot: Been working on the tutorial. Title: Re: Defcon! Post by: Mr_Vindictive on April 20, 2007, 02:20:27 PM I was wondering how long before someone would mention Defcon here.
It's a great game, very fun.....reminds me a TON of Wargames. Title: Re: Defcon! Post by: Ash on April 21, 2007, 10:05:46 PM I thought about buying this one on Steam.
I've got a couple of friends who play it all the time and they love it. Normally, I don't get into strategy video games like this...but this one looks cool. Here's the official Defcon trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kt5tXljEzqA And here's the official website: everybody-dies.com (http://www.everybody-dies.com/) Title: Re: Defcon! Post by: Zapranoth on April 21, 2007, 11:48:30 PM It is very well done. I'm just learning but the strategy is fun, and the WarGames style of it -- eerie music, ray tracings, and the slow pace of it... very nice. I bought a Mac version of it and have been plugging away at learning the ins and outs of it.
Title: Re: Defcon! Post by: Ash on April 21, 2007, 11:54:52 PM Zap...
Did you buy your copy through Steam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_%28content_delivery%29)? How much did you pay for it? Title: Re: Defcon! Post by: Zapranoth on April 22, 2007, 01:57:32 AM As I said I bought the Macintosh port. It's sold on Ambrosia Software's site.
www.ambrosiasw.com Don't know if you're running a Mac -- but I'm figuring not, since I don't know what Steam is. (googles) Ah, that's what Steam is. It sez $14.95. |
