Title: MTV's Scarred
Post by: Mr. DS on April 25, 2007, 09:42:26 PM
Has anyone watched this show?  They show real life home made movie or people busting limbs among other things.  Pretty repulsive stuff.

Ugh! I'll take Jackass over this any day. If you thought the misadventures of Johnny Knoxville and his crew  was the perfect evidence that MTV has completely lost its touch, check out the garbage known as Scarred. Even a twisted, Jackass-loving weirdo like me thinks this show is total trash.

Even if I HAD cable (which I don't), I would not waste one minute of my life watching ANYTHING on MTV.

I watched MTV quite a bit back in the 80's....when it actually was MUSIC-TV.  I enjoyed 'shows' like "Headbangers Ball" and "Post Modern," which sometimes introduced me to new-to-me music.  My last interest in MTV was the first season of "Liquid Television" and the first season or so of "Remote Control."  Even by then, it was getting pretty unbearable if you were over 20 years old.

Opinion:  The modern era of MTV is so increcibly, mind-numbingly stupid and a waste of all the resources that go into producing it (electricity, etc) - and this coming from a guy who has as one of his favorite movie indulgences the cinematic gem MANKILLERS (1987).

Personally think MTV has crap programming and they never show many music videos any ways. The only time they seem to show music videos 10 am in the morning. yep thats today's music television for ya.
