Title: Nerd-Rap AKA Nerdcore Post by: Mr_Vindictive on August 06, 2007, 04:00:34 PM I was curious if anyone else listens to any type of Nerd-Rap. It's a subgenre of music that I find to be absolutely fascinating. I'm not a big fan of rap as I have no rhythm and I can't really identify with the lyrics of mainstream rap. That's understandable as I'm far from the music's demographic.
Nerd-Rap is all about being a geek. Songs about hacking, playing D&D, and everything nerdy. The music is also quite often hilarious. I've also heard of Hard 'N Phirm. That Chris Hardwicke duo with the other guy. Some people have said that The great Luke Ski could be considered in that genre. Weird Al too, since he's had a few rap based comedy songs. But these two are more of a novelty based type of music. From MC Chris, I really like Fett's Vette, DQ Blizzard, and The Tussin. Neat fact: the song in The Tussin is the theme to the arcade game Gauntlet.
