Looking back on some of the old anthology series, I've noticed that many of the twists and bizzare concepts of newer films were already covered by the twilight zone and others of its kind:
Episode Movie Are You Afraid of the Dark: Tale of the Dream Girl The Sixth Sense Tales from the Darkside: The Moth The Skeleton Key Monsters: Pillow Talk Death Bed Twilight Zone: The Living Doll Child's Play Granted, this is only a few examples, but I'd be willing to bet there are others.
