I really like Ebert, at least (not crazy about Siskel, R.I.P.). When Ebert dislikes a movie, he at least gives a good reason why, so I can decide whether I agree with his reasoning. He will also reasses movies that he originally panned, like NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, when he realizes he was wrong. He won my heart with this quote (paraphrased) about DAWN OF THE DEAD (1978): "Some in my audience will ask why I defend filth like DAWN OF THE DEAD. I don't defend it. I praise it."
