Title: the worst movie you have ever seen
Post by: El Misfit on June 24, 2009, 01:30:46 PM
okay, tough question: what was/is your worst movie you have ever seen. you may post up more than one if you can't decide 2 or movies.
for me, attack of the the eye creatures (yes, there were two 'the'), Mitchell, the killer shrews!
but i like the creature from the haunted sea, the brain from planet arous, Manos (I must be insane) And plan 9  :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr:

CURSE OF THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN (1974)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SpTg1DU9qs

Although, a close second is Lucio Fulci's CONQUEST.  I've been trying to get through that DVD for a couple of months, but it's hard to watch it in increments of more than 10 minutes at a time.  Hopefully, I'll finish it soon.  Boring, boring, boring and headache inducing.

I can't say I can recall a single worst movie I've ever seen, though I do become almost violent in my hatred of "The Matrix".

But "Frankenstein Island" hurt my head in a way no other movie has EVER hurt me.

I think it is called Law of Gravity?Edie Falco is in it and is about a bunch small time hoodlums.I wanted every one in that movie to die(their characters..not the actors themselves).
Without a doubt the worst movie I ever saw at the theater is Anacondas:Blood Orchid something or other

Anacondas Hunt for the Blood Orchid is probably #2 on my worst of all time list.  It was so damned clichéd and predictable that it actually made me angry.  Cheap jump scares, totally unlikable characters, and a horrid comedy relief character.  I mean, come on, I'm correctly predicting what the next line of dialog will be and I've never seen this movie before!  And this took 5 writers to make?  However, the #1 spot goes to Death Tunnel.  The whole thing is edited like an MTV video.  It's just putrid.

I'd quit after like 20 minuets.

My worst movie; it should be obvious.

Cathy's Curse is painful, especially since they edited out what little blood there was (but check out my review which doesn't give away any real spoilers: Cathy's Curse (http://bargainbasementthrills.blogspot.com/2006/06/cathys-curse-or-if-this-is-what-having.html). I think there is a certain angle you have watch the film from for it to have value, and I mean philosophical angle.

The Cold is Bill Rebane through and through. Not nearly as watchable as The Giant Spider Invasion.  Have stimulants and a puzzle book handy to survive that film.

This one is possibly factual in terms of being the worst ever, it's Wikipedia page certainly sounds depressing enough.

Hard to say, I've seen a lot of crap.

I'll just say the Top 3 that are so close that it is impossible to determine really how bad it is.  Frogs, Jaws 4, and Octopus 2 are pretty close.

#1 campfire stories - I have sat through some pretty crap films but this was unbelievable!  I would prefer to watch the bloody 'Care Bears-Movie' until my eyes bled....
#2 Creep Show 3 - Oh yes there is a third one and Stephen King must be thinking up something ungodly for the idiots that wrote that pile of s**t.
There are more, but as I am a newbie I will hold back :teddyr:

I cannot bring myself to watch Creepshow 3... even out of curiosity.

The worst movie I've seen lately would have to be Lost Boys 2. Twenty years of talking about making this, and this is what they come up with  I would have rather have seen them make the Lost Girls instead. Tom Savini should be ashamed.

I watched Cathy's curse yesterday. I must disagree with you. It is enough reason to overthrow Canada's government.
I died a little inside watching this. Cathy's curse is mind numbingly bad.

Couldn't get around Blood freak, the dvd player stopped about 4 minutes in.

And are you saying that The cold is worse than Cathy's curse? Oh god...*shivers*

Man, there's a lot of crappy films I've seen... can't recall the titles of some of them.

Here's a here crapfest...

Things

Now, maybe this would have been a good "drunk" film to watch with your buddies given how inept and stupid this is, but I was also, sober and slightly sick, so it felt like a slow trek to hell.

Deadmate

Or something like that... not sure if that's the exact title or not.  Anyway, it's about some chick who meets some handsome guy who's a mortician who turns out to be a necrophile (cause, as we all know, all undertaker are necrophiles, didn't you get the memo?)  He doesn't like the fact his wife moves around too much while they have sex so he tries to kill her.

Man, I gotta stop cause the pain is getting to me...

SHREWS and CREEPING TERROR were bad, but stuff happened in them--stupid stuff, sure, but stuff nonetheless.  Almost nothing happens in MONSTER, and then at the end, we find out that what little we thought happened didn't happen... or something... WTF?

I haven't seen ZAAT.

Title: Re: the worst movie you have ever seen

Almost nothing happens in MONSTER,

Also, next to nothing happens in Never Play with the Dead, Caged Terror, Blood Predator, Pirates of Treasure Island, Dragon Hunter, Three Faces of Terror, Ghost Rig if I remember right.

And Train to Hell and Deadline/Interference (unless you count the artsy imagery they use to try to kid you stuff is happening)

And for what it's worth, nothing that matters happens in Death Proof and Five Across the Eyes as far as I know. The later may have had stuff happen when I took "break" from watching it, but, everyone was still alive by the end, so I doubt it.

And I know there's more like that, but I can't remember right now...

... you know, I really have to stop watching movies like this.

I posted a review of BLOOD CAR on here awhile back.  Honestly, I don't remember just a whole ton of sex in the movie, and very little explicit nudity.  I just thought that the ending was a little rough, and the profanity was WAAAYYY over the top for my tastes.

Worst movies I have seen:
The Worst Horror Movie Ever Made (sooooo aptly named!)
Zombies Gone Wild

I used to always say the worst movie I ever saw was Quest for the Mighty Sword, but I was young when I saw it.  It was pretty terrible (did they even quest for the sword?  Was the sword mighty?  How did the boomerange return after hitting someone?  And why did no one have a horse?  Everyone ran everywhere!), but I've learned, oh how I've learned.

I thought it was an ok sci-fi character drama. Better than Bill Rebane’s other films, from what I’ve seen & read.

Acting wasn’t up to snuff, & most of the characters weren’t likable, so it was hard to feel sympathy for them. There was an ok scene chase near the end, going by memory. Ending was depressing; might’ve been too late in the decade for such a downer ending.

I do not want to ever watch this movie ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever again.  The dialogue, the acting, and...John Wayne as one of the most famous Mongols in all history is painful to even think about, let alone watch.

I know how crazy this probably sounds, but last night I made what is either my 4th or 5th ever attempt to actually watch HEAT all the way through. this time I made it to about 1 hour 15mins which I think is my record so far, but I still couldn't carry on because it's SO DAMN BORING. and dull. I have never made that many unsuccessful attempts to simply watch an entire movie. so in that regard, it might be the worst movie I've (n)ever seen.

also GOODFELLAS and CASINO would both be in my top 10 movies of all time list,  so I really can't figure this out.

"The Conqueror" is totally ...WTF.  My friend and I were watching it sideways the whole time.  Its' produced by Howard Huges. Stars John Wayne as Khan...an all star cast of white people playing Mongolians.

Did I mention how bad the dialogue is?

Pueblo Sin Suerte (2002)
Always been a fan of Webb Wilder as an actor & musician, but parts of this seem just out of his range, either that or he doesn't have the best chemistry with the rest of the cast, a couple of whom are okay, but most are a bit stiff...
And actor Jeff Miller not only trips over his own lines, but other people's as well.....

You needn't.  The idea of JOHN WAYNE playing Genghis Khan must've seemed a great idear fer a guy with actorly aspirations.
Why not?  I've been in movies lurng enuf ta sta-uh-wretch my wings... Hoo boy.  Utter rot.

I'm sure everyone knows this but the really scary thing about this movie is the fact that it was filmed on a nuclear test site and a lot of the cast and crew developed and later died of cancer.  :buggedout:

I made it though HEAT, but I was disappointed. Maybe my expectations were too high. Not nearly the worst movie I've ever seen, though.

The worst movie I've ever seen was so boring that I've forgotten it entirely and couldn't tell you the name. It made no impression on me whatsoever. It's probably on one of those old Mill Creek 50 packs.

yeah there's a few different ways to define 'worst' here... a lot of factors come into play

I was watching a film a few weeks ago and it wasn't until the halfway point that I realised I'd seen it before... and I've already forgotten which film it was  :teddyr:

IT'S ALIVE (1969) the made for TV mess directed by LARRY BUCHANAN.  Absolute dreck.  Cheap, boring, ridiculous, stupid, implausible, silly, badly acted, incompetently directed, dumbly written, horrendously edited.

Loved it.

This is what I said in 2009, and it's all still true.  "IT'S ALIVE" is un-bee-lee-va-blee BAD, on all fronts.  When they're that bad...

                                                                                                                                        THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!!!

Larry's CREATURE OF DESTRUCTION (1968)...

Yes'm.
Although I think it's the worst, "IT'S ALIVE" I've seen twice, mesmerizingly boring and purposeless filler.  I still am interested to see it again.
Any of those rape exploitation movies revolt me, even though I recognize merit and hating a film doesn't make it the worst.
Contenders that come to mind as the WORST is sh!t like MANOS: THE HANDS OF FATE or ORGY OF THE DEAD or BLOODSUCKING FREAKS or BLOOD OF DRACULA'S CASTLE which are fatally wasteful of resources and insufferably boring.

Not being objective; just going by what caused me the most pain of late:

Beyblade: Fierce Battle

Only watched about half of it; made me realize I should apologize to my parents for making them watch Pokemon.  :bouncegiggle:

Still, I should try to finish it someday.

I've mentioned this before throughout other threads on this site..but Godfrey Ho's "Robo Vampire" apparenlty is so bad I have blocked out entirely out of my memory.  My friend swears we watched it together on DVD 2 years ago.  I cannot recall a single frame from this movie. Probably for the best as I might lose my mind if I did recall anything from it.

I wouldn't say Bloodsucking Freaks was boring.  It's not a good movie, but it's bizarre enough to be captivating.

I think Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things belongs on a list with those others though.

C Me Dance was really in its own... dumpster. The people involved with it clearly had no experience with screenwriting or movie making at any sort of level. Christian movies are easy to make fun of but Pamela's Prayer is like Gone With the Wind compared to C Me Dance. in that it at least makes sense

I really like and own the cheapfest CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS.  The first time I saw it was a late night 1970s broadcast out of NYC... immediately recognized the trash at 12 or 13, but found it scary nonetheless.

Saw BLOODSUCKING FREAKS on VHS back in the 80s in the days of wine and weed, and it was bad, not just plain bad, but stupidly gross bad and FAKE bad.  We were not captivated.

^ I saw CHILDREN SHOULD'NT PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS in NYC on Chiller about '79 or '80. The first 3/4's I found cheezy- the last quarter was creepy.
BLOODSUCKING FREAKS- just stupid and offensive.

"Winslow, the Christmas Bear" is possibly worse than The Conqueror".

It took us 2 years to watch a 50 minute movie. We could only stomach watching it 10 to 15 minutes at a time.

Winsow, this bear who happens to wake up in December from his hybernation because he wants to find out what Christmas is.

It's filmed with real trained animals...lions (no tigers) but badgers, foxes, the whole farm of wildlife refugee rescue animals.  The voice over acting and dialogue is possibly worse than the "Conqueror" script

Bullethead.  To be clear, the 1999 film, as several films have very similar titles.  I actually don't remember it very well any longer, but I rented it when it was new.  It's both extremely pretentious and artsy fartsy, but also gratuitous with its violence and gross in every way you can think of.  And the audio is terrible and it's really, really boring.  There are films I've seen that I'd say are inferior (Monster A-Go-Go springs to mind), but Bullethead gets my venom.

Oooh!  I remember another one that sticks out to me now.  S.I.C.K.  (it stands for Serial Insane Clown Killer) and no, before you ask, he doesn't kill insane clowns.  Or even sane ones.  He's a really fat guy that wears an ugly clown mask.  He hangs out in the woods chopping wood and reciting nursery rhymes for most of the movie.  He also likes putting old doll parts in random places which for some reason terrifies people when they find them.

It's one of those movies that feels like a group of friends witha  camera decided to go in their backyard and put together over a weekend.  Almost no plot, only a few kills, the actors are bad, their characters are worse and the creepy clown isn't creepy and is barely a clown.

Even the title S.T.I.N.K.S.

(That stands for Stinky Title Is Now Known as SICK.)
And yes, that title doesn't work either, but I didn't take more than thirty seconds to think of it and nobody paid me.)

Featured on this site, WEASELS RIP MY FLESH. I understand it's a movie with virtually no budget... but why?

Another one that can be used as torture: SEVERED WAYS: THE NORSE DISCOVERY OF AMERICA. Maaaybe it could be somewhat tolerable if it were much, much shorter. As it stands now, it's simply wretched. The guy taking a dump in the forest sums it all up.

Only one of those chicks actually has a chainsaw and neither are dressed like cheerleaders.  If the cover doesn't even care, why should anybody else.

... and apparently it's not even a horror movie.  How do you put chainsaw in a title and not be a horror movie?

The ONE thing you would not expect of a movie with this title is that it be . . . BORING.
And it WAS!  No blood, no chainsaw mayhem, no nudity, no witty banter - it was simply AWFUL.
You need to watch it . . .

Ugh, so many but I gotta go with ''2025 the world enslaved by a virus''.

https://m.imdb.com/title/tt13788842/

Bad in every way and all for propaganda. Stupid ideas like by 2025 Christianity has been outlawed in public in Germany and the west, that the covid lockdown extended to 2025, that there is a one worled gubmint in 2025, English is the official world language by 2025, that covid was just to excuse to have ''communism all over the place''.

Bad acting, a ridiculous car chase, no budget, people in 2025 have fogtotten the pre covid world and society.

It was so bad it was like a movie made of a chick tract...
