Title: Wonderfest 2010
Post by: Pilgermann on March 09, 2010, 02:34:26 AM
RC's thread (http://thttp://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php/topic,129085.0.html) about Famous Monsters Con reminded me that Wonderfest is comin' to Louisville, KY.  What's Wonderfest?  It's primarily aimed at folks who are into the hobby of building sci-fi,  horror and comic book models.  They also host the Rondo Awards for classic horror stuff.

This year they've got some cool guests and events including a 25th anniversary screening of Return of the Living Dead accompanied by Linnea Quigley, James Karen, and the film's production designer William Stout.  Rather appropriate since they nuke Louisville in the film.

I've never been to it before but the RotLD stuff has got me interested!  I'd love to go to the Famous Monsters Convention (http://famousmonstersconvention.com/) too, their lineup is awesome!

That looks cool! Nice to see James Karen is still kicking around-and I LOVE artist Ken Kelly's work! He did so many clasic FM and Creepy covers in the 70's! I need to go to a convention-I've a convention virgin!

Not interested in models but I'll attend the screenings if the price is reasonable.
