Title: "A Peter Pan Book-and-Record" Post by: Flick James on April 07, 2012, 10:34:20 AM Talk about some serious nostalgia. I doubt anyone but the older farts on the board will remember this.
Peter Pan was a company that produced childrens records decades ago. In the 70’s, they produced “book-and-record” sets, consisting of a comic book featuring a DC or Marvel character or an adaptation of a TV show like Star Trek or The Six Million Dollar Man, plus a 7” 45 RPM record with narration for the comic book. The only one I had as a kid was a G.I Joe one, and I must have listened to it while reading the comic a few hundred times on a little fold-up record player I inherited from my older sister. I found a youtube of the very same episode I had, accompanyied by stills from the comic with some minor added animation. I used to collect records, so I'd often scan old records, used records, and buy crap like this, especially if sealed!
