Title: I found an 8mm camera.
Post by: Pacman000 on May 29, 2013, 05:28:43 PM
I found an 8mm camera, and I would like to know how to use it.  Does anyone know where I could get instructions/a manuel?  If not, how about a diagram of common 8mm camera parts? Does anyone have any advice?

Here's a link to an 8mm film forum
http://www.8mmforumworldwide.com/ (http://www.8mmforumworldwide.com/)

You could also do a search for the brand and model and catalog and see what turns up.  Depending on its age it may take a film cartridge-type loading.  I think it's pretty rare to find a place that sells and develops anymore.  There's Yale Lab in Burbank, CA.  Good luck with your experimenting.

It didn't have any "found footage" in it? How disappointing. :(

Actually, there is film in the camera, but I opened the camera in a well-lit room, so it's probably destroyed.  :bluesad:

Ah well, film left in a hot attic for 40-50 years probably wouldn't be good anyways.
