Title: People/groups you follow on Youtube Post by: AoTFan on September 04, 2019, 09:08:32 PM Any regulars you like to listen to?
Here's a couple I like... Fredrik Knudsen https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbWcXB0PoqOsAvAdfzWMf0w/videos (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbWcXB0PoqOsAvAdfzWMf0w/videos) This guy's a great story teller who covers a variety of topics from various aspects of history. He's done videos on the Hurdy Gurdy to internet celebs like Noah Antwiler and Dark Side Phil, to interesting bits from history like the plague doctors and Henry Darger, an untrained janitor who, starting in the in 1930s until his death, created a fantasy artwork series consisting of over 10,000 pages, for just the hell of it. Regardless of the tale, Knudsen's narration and editing always make a fascinating listen. Cinemassacre. Okay, do I really need to explain this one? Jame's Rolfe is probably the Internet's most well known movie maker, with over 13 years of videos to his name. Probably most known for the character of The Angry Video Game Nerd, but if you'd be far remiss in thinking he's a one-trick pony. How about you guys? Who do you follow/enjoy on Youtube? I'll mention some more people I like later... Title: Re: People/groups you follow on Youtube Post by: Gabriel Knight on September 05, 2019, 06:09:36 AM Cinemassacre too! James Rolfe is awesome, I learned so much about movies from him. When he talks alone in front of a camera you can tell the passion he puts in his videos, he's great. I also like how he mantains a humble position even after all these years, unlike the other copycats who have their egos levels to the roof.
I do hate tho when his friends try to leech his fame and show up to ruin the show, they're incredibly lame. Every time I see those Rental Reviews I feel so bad... "whoa, a 30 minutes review from James about this s**tty movie?", nope, it's just a bunch of a***oles with some comments from him. And to add to the clickbait, he's the only one showing up in the video thumbnail. :bluesad: The other channel I follow is Harry Partridge. The guy updates it once every year but damn, he's an extremely talented caricaturist. The quality is way beyond anything else you can see, even on TV. Title: Re: People/groups you follow on Youtube Post by: zombie no.one on September 07, 2019, 12:03:58 PM only a couple of active channels that post new stuff regularly:
Scary Mysteries (all kinds of weird true stories) Criminally Listed (similar to above, but focusing on crimes) kermodeandmayo (new movie reviews) Title: Re: People/groups you follow on Youtube Post by: claws on September 07, 2019, 12:59:41 PM GoodBadFlicks - some Interesting info on most movies they cover.
This is Dan Bell. - Urban Explorer. He does abandoned buildings and a pretty good Dead Malls series, among other things. He also did a report on the abandoned but legendary Penn Hills 1970s Swingers (Honeymoon) Resort in the Poconos that was in business from 1967-2002. Nuke's Top 5 - my to-go to page for cheap thrills on saturday nights. Ghosts, aliens, hauntings etc. He has better videos than the similar "Chills" youtube page. And unlike Chills, Nuke doesn't always claim his videos are real/facts, he lets the viewer decide. I gave him a plug months back in the forum! You can tell this guy has a real love for the movies he reviews and explores. Another guy I follow: Voxis Productions https://www.youtube.com/user/VoxisProductions (https://www.youtube.com/user/VoxisProductions) Maker of the series "Smack Talk" featuring, Professor Tosspot, a cranky British puppet. He reviews a variety of movies and TV shows. He's really funny and got a lot of insightful opinions to boot. I just unfollowed 'Chills' because he is adding more and more videos that don't have 'supernatural' content. Most of the 'real life' footage looks even more fake than the ghost ones. Besides, his ego is more concerned about promoting his (rather annoying) voice that made him infamous than creepy good videos.
