There seem to have been some changes to the forum profile page or something that won't let me make any changes to my profile.

It won't let me change my profile pic, & there's some new thing saying I need a security question & a longer password that wasn't there when I created my profile.

I'm sorry, I wasn't able to replicate your problem. I could change my profile pic. Are you looking on the section named "Modify Profile - Forum Profile Information?" The section named "Modify Profile - Account Related Settings" has the part where you can add an optional security question.

I somehow got logged out, so I used the "forgot password" to update my password...

Still haven't been able to change my avatar or get the reading order back to the way I had it.

Does it give you an error message?

Can you change your signature slightly to test if you are allowed to make any changes at all?

Yes, I shortened my signature & added a security question.
The only problem I'm having now is the avatar.

So we know it will let you make changes, at least. Any error message on the avatar?

I'm guessing the file size is slightly too large. This new one I just uploaded is 16.0 KB. See if you can shrink the size (if it's not a jpg convert it to a jpg, if it is a jpg you should be able to compress it). There are probably online tools that can do it.

There used to be a message by the upload feature that said what the size & dimensions could be.
I can't find that now.

What issue exactly? Lil' Cerb eventually got his sorted out by uploading a smaller file.
