Title: 1970s movie about a guy who picks up a young female hitchhiker (SOLVED) Post by: zelmo73 on December 13, 2020, 02:52:13 AM I saw this as a boy on late night early-1980s television. This guy is driving on the highway out in the desert, like Arizona or something, when he picks up this attractive young female hitchhiker. I guess they have an affair of some type, they start a lovers' relationship together but things go bad when she starts getting all Fatal Attraction (1987) on him. She invites him back to her house out in the middle of nowhere and somehow strands him there, and at one point she cripples him with an axe. It turns out that she has a boyfriend already. The boyfriend ends up getting stabbed to death by the Fatal Attraction girl, and the climax of the movie involves the crippled guy chasing after the Fatal Attraction girl on foot. She makes it to the highway where some state cops are driving past. She stops them as the crippled guy is hobbling after her and she tells the cops "He did it! He did it! He killed my boyfriend!"
