Title: Pam & Tommy
Post by: ER on June 18, 2022, 09:41:19 AM
I enjoyed seeing events I remember from the nineties presented as nostalgia in this much funnier than I'd expected it to be Hulu show that humanized celebrities and managed to be emotionally engaging in ways I didn't expect. Some good impersonations and acting too.

I never got the 90s obsession with Pamela Anderson. I just didn't find her attractive.

I can't stand either of those people. Doesn't mean someone can't make a good show about them, but it's not something I'd be drawn to.

I loved the series. They did manage to make it both ourageously funny and to humanize Pam and Tommy, showing how the tape made their lifes a living hell.

Funny story about that porn vid, it was not meant to be public. Tommy hired a guy to do some work around his mansion, they refused to pay him and ran him off with a gun. Later he snuck back to basically take some stuff to sell to get his money and found that tape in a safe he took.

Needless to say, they wished they'd paid him.
