HAND OF DEATH (1962)[/url] - Caught part of this b/w horror film on AMC early this morning before going to work. John Agar stars as the monster. I missed the beginning and end of this film, but I did get to see Agar run around with monster suit on for 30 minutes and the film is only 58 minutes long. He used this serum that turned him into a hideous creature who could kill with the slightest touch of his skin. Read that it was a lost film, but now AMC and I guess FOX Movie Channel has been playing it lately. Will try to catch the whole thing when it comes on again. Check out the imdb.com link above as they have a Kung Fu Movie poster instead of the 1962 film.

I caught the tail end of that while awaiting Creature from the Black Lagoon! As usual, the cops were more than ready to shoot someone without any provocation... knowing it was smug John Agar made me feel a bit better about it... The monster looked a lot like a living mass of pavement!

Hummm....but the box art makes me think of "Pickle man!"
"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

Even that poster image doesn't quite do it either as he looked more like the toilet monster.

Here you see John Agar touching a taxi cab driver and turns him into a turd also. The only difference is the Taxi Driver is dead and Agar is still alive and walking around.

Scott...do you realise...that line of yours could describe the work output of many a Hollywood producer?
That could describe "King Kong" 76 just there! Talk about makeing turds...
"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

The box art makes him look like a turd/ pickle/ vanilla wafer pudding man, but in the movie- which is obviously B&W- he looks like he's made of asphalt. I suppose if that were true, he could stand in the sun all day and use his touch to give people third degree burns...
