Hi gang! to anyone who might be able to answer please...Now and then I try to find a certain movie such as My Reputation starring Barbara Stanwyck or Home From the Hill starring Robert Mitchum for example. Can't rent it on Netflix or find to purchase . I have seen these movies on TCM but- can't find them any where so far. Some really good movies are just not available or do you just have to wait and maybe they will be out. ???????? thanks for any input.  I love many movies but film noir and the old classics are my favorites. Happy viewing all,  Jan

I usually scout the DVD sections in in closeout stores like Big Lot's, DollarTree, Family Dollar, Wal-Mart, etc.

I often find some real obscurities, or the occasional classic that the major companies won't bother with because it's in the public domain.

Sometimes a movie's "title" has a copyright, but not per se the movie it'self, so some small timers will try to get around copyright laws by releasing it with a different title.

Just one idea.

All I can say is, is that when something is on TCM and it isn't in print - either tape it or get a DVR (Tivo) and then send it over to your computer so that you can burn it to DVD-R.
