Didn't get a chance to see this one this weekend as my wife had to work all weekend.  Anyone go see it?  If so, thoughts?

I'm a big Alan Moore fan, and V was one of my favorites.  Did they muck this one up too badly or is it pretty good?  A lot of the reviews I've read have been positive, so that's a good sign.

I too have read some positive reviews, though I don't think it will shatter the box office in the first week like I'd want it too [at least that's the feeling I get here]

I would also love to hear from someone who's seen it [it comes out here on the 30th.]

I haven't seen this movie yet, either, but I was planning on checking it out soon. There are a fair amount of good reviews for "V"- some even comparing it to "Batman Begins", which I thought was an awesome film. I only hope the "Matrix" guys didn't ruin it.

Well if it makes you feel any better [though I doubt it will] but someone told me the other day that this script was written before the Matrix, so that could be a good thing.  Or not.  Just an interesting possible fact.

Dean,

Well it didn't shatter any records but it came it at close to 27mil which isn't too bad at all.  It is one of the highest openers so far this year.

I heard some call-ins on a talk show today commenting about how incredibly bad this movie is.  Bad boring.  They said it was just one poltical speech after another, and even had flashbacks to political speeches.

Take it with a grain of salt and consider the source, but I wanted to pass this along.

I'll wait for the DVD, but I am interested in checking it out. Looks better than most comic/superhero type films.
