Don't you think Bruce Campbell should be in more movies?

I mean, the last movie he did was "Bubba Ho-Tep", and that had only a limited release in the USA, so few people have seen it 8ie. I haven't seen it).

He needs to get back from the saddle and start kicking ass again!

What do you think?

Mr_Vindictive

He's done films since Bubba Ho-Tep.  It's a great flick, and one that you should see when you get a chance.

Bruce recently starred in and directed The Man With The Screaming Brain.  He was also in Alien Apocalypse and Disney's Sky High.

The man has been busy.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

He also voiced for a 2005 Evil Dead game.

The Conqueroo

You Know,I Remembered His Fox Series "The Adventures of Briscoe County,Junior"From 1993-94.I Thought It was A Really Good Show,Then Fox Came Along And Mucked It All Up By Moving It's Time Slot,Then Replacing It With A SoSo Super Hero Series "MANTIS"*(*Which Didn't Even Last One Season!!)!!

Actually Bruce is another movie I posted about a couple of months ago called "The Woods".  The movie has been made for sometime but is caught up in some legalities over the Weintstein brothers separation from Miramax.

Check out the old post {url=http://www.badmovies.org/bbs/read.php?2,101628,101628#msg-101628]here[/url]. There is a link to the trailer there too.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

I always thought he kind of sucked.  I liked the Evil Dead movies in spite of him, for the most part.  And ... I really haven't seen much else with him in it.  He was ok in Maniac Cop, I guess.
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

Neville

As it happens with Jeffrey Combs, he's specialised on a type of acting that is rarely demanded in A-movies, but he is a much better actor than many people think (he nailed Elvis in "Bubba Ho-Tep").

He should be in better movies.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

I wouldn't go so far as to say he's a brilliant actor, but he is by far one of my favourite actors.  I mean, nobody is going to say he deserves an Oscar for the character Ash, but I'm sure there's heaps of people out there [me included] who would buy him many a beer because of his work.

I mean, the characters he plays are great [or at least those I've seen] and he does a fantastic job with them, so it's fun, and that's what I'm looking for.  You have a brilliant actor going all method and studying in depth what their character is all about, and that actor would be badly suited for most of Campbell's roles.

In a way, for me at least, he does have the attraction level of an A-list actor.  The new Tom Cruise movie is out?  Sure I'll see it if it's good and I like what it's about, but a Bruce Campbell movie?  Well I'd definitely make plans to track it down and watch it just because he's in it.

Just Plain Horse

I think he's okay. He does a good job playing dumb, boisterous types like he did in the Evil Dead series. To date, the only thing he was in I haven't enjoyed was Brisco County Jr. I just found the whole thing boring.

Bruce is great. If you want to see something different from him, try watching his mainstream tv stuff. He did a great two-part guest star on 'Homicide', a crime-drama tv-movie with Lori Loughlin (yeah from 'Full House' and 'Rad') which was actually a good time waster, and number of other things.

Wasn't Cambell in Serving Sara?

I think I only watched the parts that he appeared in.

He was pretty good.

Combs is friggin brilliant. I remember when he used to play two recurring character on ST:DS9. He was Weyoun, a vorta, and Brunt a Ferengi and besides the make up hiding his appearance in the Ferengi part his voice and mannerism still didn't give him away.

I remember a rumor that he was going to play Grima Wormtongue in LOTR. To tell the truth, I would have liked seeing him get the part.

There are a lot of under rated character actors in B-movies. I know a lot of them are better actors than some of the mainstream stars out there.
