Looking for the Title of this movie

I only remember it having a large king kong like stop motion creature that was green with a white beard and white hair on its arms on the cover art and also a cave man with a wrinkled face. The actual movie was black and white and I think the film was foreign. It mainly centered around the theme of evil and it was hard to follow.
