Given the list of stars who did westerns, I thought I'd start one concerning stars who have done musicals.

SEAN CONNERY
LEE MARVIN
JOHN WAYNE
CLINT EASTWOOD

Just to name a few.....

Menard

Now this is the complete opposite direction of stars who did westerns.

Is this a list of people who did both musicals and westerns or just musicals?

That being said, not all musicals are just fluff; I actually watched Cannibal the Musical two nights ago, and that's full of all kinds of stupid [so yes, not just fluff!]

The Burgomaster

* BURT REYNOLDS - "At Long Last, Love"
* JOHN TRAVOLTA - "Grease"
* STEVE MARTIN - "Pennies from Heaven"
* JOHN CARRADINE - "The Trouble with Girls"

Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin were actually in a Western Musical.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Which musical would be "Paint Your Wagon." Actually, they have, if not appearing in a musical, have all sang in films. As Singing Sandy, in a series of low budget westerns, John Wayne may have actually have been, one of the first, if not the first, singing cowboy. And Sean Connery sang in "Darby O'Gill and the Little People."

Other people who have sang in films, or who I would have liked to hear sing in films, if they already haven't, are Vincent Price, who sang in "The House of Seven Gables." Christopher Lee, who I have heard has a wonderful bass voice. Boris Karloff, who once sang a wonderful duet with Vinnie on an episode of "The Red Skelton Show," and Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster, who also sang a wonderful duet together on television.

Lee Van Cleef (CAPTAIN APACHE) and Telly Savalas (PONCHO VILLA) both had Spaghetti Westerns where they sing the main theme song, but were not musicals.

I heard Connery was in the chorus of some stage productions of musicals though.
