What's supposed to be so 'great' about Snakes on a Plane?

Sounds like a direct-to-dvd bad movie: all the action is confined to the inside of a plane while snakes run amok. How can this sustain a full length running time?

They've done it numerous times before.  See Executive Decision.

and none of those had snakes :)

What was the movie about killer bees loose in a plane? Or rats?  Something small and numerous?

This movie has stupid written all over it, so it will probably be right up our alley.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Caught a bit on CNN about the craze, and the guy who got his line added to the script.
This is going to be a bad movie , hyped like a big budget fracus.
"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

Snakes on a plane !  You know it has to be good. Saw the CNN segment also. Looks like our kind of material. This is why I watch movies......................

I haven't heard a thing about this other than the mutterings of all you fools.

But what I have heard makes me think it's so stupid that it just has to have a bit of fun in there somewhere.  I mean come on!!!

Just the title makes it sound good.   More movies should have titles like this.  They could make something like "Bunnies on a Bus" or "Lizards on a Boat".
I bent my wookie!

A movie title being straightforward is arare thing to happen.

Was "Night of the Lepus" about lepers? Was there any mechanical oranges in "The Clockwork Orange"? Were there any cocks or bulls in "A Cock and Bull Story"?

Was there a terminator in The Terminator?

Did nightmares occur on Elm Street in A Nightmare on Elm Street?

Was there a cube in Cube?

(I like this game).

Those titles MADE SENSE.

"Monster in Law", on the other hand, didn't make any lick of sense. Did Jane Fonda ever turn into a monster in that movie?

If she did, I'd actually consider watching it...

That being said, the title for Snakes on a Plane is definitley a marketing tool: when doing interviews and people ask what the movie is about you just look at them stupidly and say 'what is the title again?' and it will make for a much more interesting interview rather than trying to explain 'ok there's these snakes, and this plane, and the snakes are on the plane, and people start getting edgy, and Samuel L Jackson says mother f**ker alot...'  Talking about it like that makes it seem stupid if it had some random title, so yes, the title really makes you want to watch it, even though your better sense may think that it isn't as good as it will sound.
