BOOGEYMAN (1980) - This is a poor film that have some supernatural moments and piercing music to accompany it. There are some weird scenes, but the whole mute guy being angry about sexuality is dull. People seem to get hurt or die when ever things get even slightly out of his possessed liking. Oh, and there is this broken mirror that gets stuck to things like shoes and eye sockets. This is actually what causes things to happen. John Caradine has a small role in this one. The minor exorcism is probably the best part.

Certainly, at least in my opinion, not a great one, but it can be mildly entertaining for the cross genre of slasher meets possession (sort of) movie. It could have been executed better, and perhaps the role of the mute son could have been exploited better. Interestingly enough, the damn thing spawned several sequels.

Strangely, I really like the movie! It's funny as hell! But I will have to tell you that if a pitch fork was coming after me in a barn all by itself, I'd be pretty scared. And the whole thing with the kids in the house was eerie as well.
