Scott's Movie Marathon

I think you should sit and watch all of them in alphabetical order non-stop until you get through them.

You're not the Devil...You're practice.

Scott

That's a good idea. I do have trouble deciding which one is next. Let's see which would be next if alphabetical order?

Looks like:

Al Capone
Arch of Triumph

This might be the answer to my dilemma Odinn7.

The Burgomaster

Here are my comments about a few selected movies on your list:

The Vampire Night Orgy - I bought this a long time ago and only watched about half of it so far.  It's a typical Euro vampire movie.

Hells Bloody Devils - Laughable trash from Al Adamson.  But it is NOT boring!

I have a lot of the martial arts ones you mentioned in the MARTIAL ARTS 50 MOVIE PACK.  I have only watched about 5 or 6 movies from this set so far.

Death Rage - This is in the CHILLING CLASSICS 50 MOVIE PACK.  It's an okay Italian crime thriller starring Yul Brynner and Martin Balsam.

Memorial Valley Massacre - Also in the CHILLING CLASSICS set.  Low-budget nonsense "starring" Cameron Mitchell (who is in it for about 5 or 10 minutes).

I have not seen many of the other ones that you mentioned that are from the CHILLING CLASSICS set.  However, I have a few comments about the ones I HAVE seen:

The Witches Mountain - Boring, boring, boring.

Scream Bloody Murder - Entertaining sleaze about a guy with a hook hand.

Christmas Evil - aka TERROR IN TOYLAND.  Has a really silly ending.

Funeral Home - fairly boring.

Deep Red - I have a widescreen version on a separate DVD.  One of my favorite Dario Argento films.

Virus - Terrible (but sometimes entertaining) "all star cast" disaster movie.

The Milpitas Monster - Extremely low-budget giant monster movie made by a high school teacher!  Boring in spots, but it is often amusing.

Panic - Awful, awful, awful dubbed horror movie.  Some gore, but not enough to make it interesting.

Cathy's Curse - The picture quality in the CHILLING CLASSICS set is disappointing.  I hope a better version comes out some day.

The Alpha Incident - Bad, bad, bad Bill Rebane movie.

Track of the Moon Beast - Terrible Moonbeast costume and make-up, but a fun low-budget movie.

House of the Dead - Boring, stupid horror movie starring the guy from CREEPSHOW who keeps saying "I want my cake, Bedelia!"

Slashed Dreams - Bad, corny movie about a woman who gets raped on a camping trip.  The original title was SUNBURST.  It's like watching a movie on the Lifetime channel.

Drive-In Massacre - A few murders, but nothing special.  Pretty slow-moving.

Street Fighter - Excellent Sonny Chiba movie.  The uncut version has a few pretty gory scenes.

Return of the Streetfighter - Pretty good sequel to THE STREETFIGHTER.

The Man Who Knew Too Much - The James Stewart version is great.  never saw the Peter Lorre version.

Get Christie Love - Fun, fast-moving TV blaxploitation pilot film for the short-lived series.

The Astral Factor - Stupid sci-fi/horror/detective movie about a convict who can make himself turn invisible.  The special effects are awful.  Sort of like a very bad KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER episode.
"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Scott

I like those Euro-Vampire films.

Has Cameron Mitchell ever done anything worth watching? I liked REBEL ROUSERS, but not because of Mitchell.

Thanks again for your experienced imput there Burgomaster.

BoyScoutKevin

"Has Cameron Mitchell ever done anything worth watching?"--Scott

Is that as in "something worth watching," as in . . .

"They Were Expendable"
"Death of a Salesman"

or, is that as in "I enjoyed it, when he was in . . ."

"My Favorite Year"
"House of Bamboo"
"Garden of Evil"
"Man on a Tightrope"

Something I had not known before, until I looked his name up, he was the voice of Jesus Christ in "The Robe."

Just Plain Horse

I've always been curious about The Crater Lake Monster, and is The Snake People a better or worse film than The Alligator People?

Scott

Oh, so Cameron Mitchell has done a few good ones. : )

Scott

I haven't seen it yet, but THE SNAKE PEOPLE is a Mexican film starring Boris Karloff.

Scott

20 more to add to my Stand-By list to make it 168:

Daniel Boone: Trail Blazer

Abraxas
Hercules and the Masked Rider

American Vampire

The Burgomaster

Scott:

THE WACKIEST WAGON TRAIN IN THE WEST is actually several episodes of the short-lived DUSTY'S TRAIL television series edited together into a feature film.

DUSTY'S TRAIL was a 1970s rip-off of GILLIGAN'S ISLAND.  Instead of being on an island, the cast was lost in the American West of the 1800s!

The cast included Bob Denver as Dusty (basically a rip-off of Gilligan), Forrest Tucker as the wagon master (basically a rip-off of the Skipper), plus a rich couple (similar to the Howells), a showgirl (just like Ginger) a smart guy (like the professor), and an "ordinary" girl (similar to Mary Ann).

The series only lasted for a few episodes, and then quickly disappeared.
"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Scott

How about that........Burgomaster I'm probably confusing this one with THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG.

RCMerchant

HUH? Why dis the Camster??? I LOVED Toolbox Murders...and Blood and Black Lace is cool. And Nightmare in Wax is fun in if you got a bottle of hooch next to ya.Mister Scarface is REAL lame. Jack Palance is on the box but the star is some lousy Italian punk. GODAWFUL.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."
