It's uncanny how much Tim Curry looks like my uncle Gary.
Tim Curry & I also share the same birthday.
Creepy.

I own The Worst Witch on VHS.
I haven't watched it in ages and it's hilarious how much Harry Potter rips it off.
The Worst Witch came out years before the Harry Potter books did.
Makes you wonder if J.K. Rowling modeled her books after it.

If she did she was probably watched it and said "I could do so much better than this crap." I was actually in Scotland and saw cafe she wrote at from a friend who lived there.  She spent a lot of time in the old city which has that "magical" ancient feel about it.  She brought that essence to her book.  No cheesiness.  No singing Grand Wizards squeezing rubber hearts and a lot more imaginative. Not to totally diss The Worst Witch...even cheesiness has a place in my heart.

I suppose we all have to be infuenced by other works/people to create our own.

Wow, I really like the way you interperted the suffering of watching that.  I still can't get over the squeezing of the rubber heart thing...it just really makes me laugh.  It is SO bad!
