THE WHITE GORILLA (1945) - These jungle pictures from the this time period are hard viewing. Like a WHITE PONGO (1945) the same year this film has lots of African wild animal footage. Guess they didn't have Animal Planet or Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom back in the 40's. In between wildlife clips we have some kind of story about an outcast white gorilla and even a jungle boy who helps people in danger. The only wild gorilla film that I have yet to see is NABONGA (1944). Can't say that I'm looking forward to it. It's enough to make you go ape.

RAY "Crash" CORRIGAN stars in all of these films as the Gorilla. He was even the Gorilla in BELA LUGOSI MEETS THE BROOKLYN GORILLA (1952) and the monster in IT! THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE (1958)
