I've been meaning to do this for a while but it's been a helluva term with my second Culinary year. This weeks been especially busy with work and planning for a fancy buffet a school.

Gojira: I would say easily one of the best...or most likely, THE best done Godzilla movie ever made. It's one of those rare ones were you can look at it like an actual movie, and not like a movie that's just meant to entertain (Megalon, Smog Monster, Final Wars ect.) So many things made so much more sense in this. Such as the relevance of discoverying the trilobite in one of Godzilla's foot prints. I figured it was saying (in the Burr version) that they had simply missed the fact that trilobites existed (or something weird like that.) In the original they believe that the Godzilla creature came from a hidden place where other prehistoric creatures live.

No Burr but I'm gratful that they put the American verison on it as well. It's odd that in our version they even changed some of Godzilla's roaring. Half the time he made a deep roar when original it was like a comination of a woof/growl/gong (you hear it when he runs into the power lines barrier)

Oh yes and more scenes with the Japanese characters, go Scherizawa.

5/5

(And I must dis-agree with their tag line 'The original Japanese classic.' I think that should go to 'Seven Samurai' but Gojira is a close second.)

I cracked down and got those limited edition Star Wars DVDs where Lucas put the versions we grew up with along side his own personal versions. They're still classics, Greedo shooting first still looks crappy (so does the added Jabba), and they look a lot better in wide screen.

Thanks Lucas you've redeemed yourself somewhat.

Star Wars: 4.5/5
Empire: 4.5/5
Return: 4/5

Munchie: A kids movie with a crappy magical creature. I bought this and a few other movies from the Mom and Pop store down in Ashland Oregon. Adults (like me) will feel stupid for watching it, while some kids may like it.

Honest adult opinion: 1.5/5

I think Burgomeister said his kid was starting to find movies that she liked and disliked.
Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!
