Thanks for the great review, Andrew.

I've never seen this so I have to ask: is that Clu Gulager from The Killers in one of the pictures?

That is indeed Clu Gulager, who also appears in the killer kitty film Uninvited as well as Feast.  Here he plays Burt, the owner of Uneeda Medical Supply.  He consistently makes decisions that are plausible and even seem like good ideas, but they always turn out to be the wrong decision.  Cut off the head?  Nope.  Burn the body?  Really bad idea.  Call the Army number on the side of the drum?  That obviously didn't work out...

I love Return of the living dead, great zombie movie
Great review also.

Zombie balut?  I just stumbled across this review and if not for the presence of two Filipinas in my household, I'd have no idea what that was.

Truthfully, I would be happy not knowing what regular balut was, but the 'zombie' tag just clinched the deal.

Pancit and lumpia for me from now on.  Keep the zombie balut.

its awesome to see this movie getting the praise it deserves! I watched this movie when i was really young prolly 6 (my dads band (the jet black berries) is in the soundtrack whos song comes on the boombox as they walk into the cemetary...funny story in itself because the bands major song at the time was "they walk among you" which was not chosen for the film....BUMMER! Either way a truely creepy movie that made me scard to death as a little boy...and made me make a zombie survival plan...i love a lot of zombie movies but this one is special and kicks the s**t out of the others. (specially the one with the little kids in the subburbs)  cheers!

Me being a WWII nut raised by a WWII nut dad, I wanna point out Ernie's gun is not a Luger, but a Walther P38.

One of the best zombie flicks ever, and if i remember correctly the first zombie movie i ever saw. This is definantly equaly as good as any of the romero movies, and i mean honestly, Tar Man is the coolest zombie on the planet.

I heard about the Return of the Living Dead before I knew Mark. And when I checked out the movies he appeared in, I was surprised he appeared in ROTLD. He played a sexy punk Suicide. I was upset that he died. I really wish he lived longer.  :bluesad:

And by the way, where do I reach this person Sue from #48? Said she was Mark's ex.
