When i first saw this it was in the wee hours of the morning back in the far flung early 1980's i promptly forgot all about this one, then years later when Stephen Kings Misery was released i had that "i've seen this somewhere before" moment and sure enough late nite cable tv provided when they ran "The strange Vengeance of Rosalie" in the wee hours and i happened to catch it again.

Misery was eerily similar to this one, for those who have not seen TSVR (The strange Vengeance of Rosalie) it had all of about 4 people in it it starts of with Rosie and her gramps and they are native americans living out in the middle of the desert somewhat near an old highway, gramps dies Rosalie is heartbroken, a lost traveling salesman shows up she immeadiately gets hooked on him at one point breaking his leg so he can't leave, then a biker shows up after awhile.

It's mostly a forgettable movie but at 3:00 am is pretty darn interesting.

Welcome aboard and wow, interesting that the described plot is very similar to "Misery."  I am not certain I would attribute it to intentional copying, because the idea is one that seems basic.  Sooner or later someone would create a book or script based on the idea.

Welcome to the message board and thanks for another movie to put on my "see these" list.
