CONAN THE BARBARIAN: THE MAKING OF CONAN (2000) - Good Documentary about the making of CONAN THE BARBARIAN with director John Milius, Dino De Laurentius, Oliver Stone, Basil Poledouris, Arnold Shwarzenegger, James Earl Jones, Sandahl Bergman, Gerry Lopez, and more commenting of their experience in the making of this film. It was 5 years in the making. This documentary rates up there with HEARTS OF DARKNESS: A FILMMAKERS APOCALYPSE as my favorite movie documentaries.

Saw CONAN THE BARBARIAN 3 times in June when I was 17 years old in Elmira, NY. Was mowing lawns, working in vineyards, and joined the Army Reserves before seeing this film as I was scheduled to start basic training in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri in 1982 the same month.

I have this documentary on my Conan: The Complete Quest DVD but haven't watched it yet.
I'll sit down sometime this weekend and check it out.

If you like the movie CONAN THE BARBARIAN then you will like this 50 minute feature.

Yeah, the docu is pretty decent.  One of the better extras out there.  I love that bit where Arnold was being chased by the dogs (doubling as wolves) that really wanted to eat him.  He got banged up pretty good falling off the rocks filming that scene.
