Tonight, while at work, I had a flashback of this godawful movie. Drew Barrymore as a selfish spoiled girl who dumps all over Steve Zahn. Mercifully, I'd forgotten it after seeing it at the theater with a couple of friends. Now it will haunt my dreams...evermore.
Goblins still exist. Your Grandpa Seth is telling you!

Are you nuts? You tryin' ta turn me into a homo?

While I'm no big fan of the film by far(though James Woods and Lorraine Bracco are great in their roles), I think you've managed to spin the plot in almost superhumanly male chauvanist way.

:bouncegiggle: I'm just sayin.
That's my driver's license picture....I hate that picture!"

Sorry. It's been a while since I've seen the film, but I remember not liking Barrymore's character and thinking her actions unreasonable at the time.

Steve Zahn actually does a really fine job in this movie.

My best friend's wife got us to watch most of this a while back. A true chick flick, we were practically climbing the walls trying to get away from it. She finally gave up and watched the rest of it in another room.

When I think of all the things I loathe about Drew Barrymore, this film sums them up.
blah blah stuff blah blah obscure pop culture reference blah blah clever turn of phrase blah blah bad pun blah blah bad link blah blah zzzz.....

That's one of the reasons I joked with Fortunato.  He actually made it nearly impossible to dislike him, despite his legendary scope of irresponsibility.

I actually saw this after losing a bet.  It was pretty good though...that's usually how it turns out when I end up seeing something I'm convinced I do not want to see.

Other films seen after a lost coin toss:
PAY IT FORWARD, THE TERMINAL, X-MEN 3(That's right!), MUSIC & LYRICS.
A sad side-effect of being married, I'm afarid.

While I find Drew Barrymore to be one of the coolest and most exquisite/beautiful women around, this move was an outright stinker.

Best part of the movie is Zahn getting a jock guy to punch him, he tries to hit him in the face but Zahn ducks a little and he punches the top of his head, badly hurting his hand.

But yeah, the movie is just OK aside from Zahn.  Pretty dull really.
