I've been on a bit of a Frankenstein bender recently, and reviewed 6 of them, including these three classic 'bad movies'.

Frankenstein Unbound (1990)
Roger Corman's directorial return has some clever ideas, but is wasted on an impossibly short run-time.

Lady Frankenstein (1971)
Classic euro-exploitation horror starring Joseph Cotten (!), with all manner of gratuitous nudity and violence.

Flesh for Frankenstein (1973)
Pushing gratuity to the limits with more sex and gore than ever in this darkly comic film.

Full reviews of these, and more at my new Mondo Esoterica Guide to Frankenstein.

An overlooked gem,FRANKENSTIEN 1980(1973). It's an Itailian exploitation/horror  flik, with lots of sex and gore. One bizzare scene has the monsterbeating a women to death with a hambone
Also a goofy one is FRANKENSTIEN'S CASTLE of FREAKS(1973).Also with much nudity and violence, and to boot, a caveman, a sex starved midget, and anactor named Boris Lugosi(as the caveman)!
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

Ah, good stuff and an interesting walk through the history of Frankenstein-type films.  You did remind me of "Frankenstein Unbound," for which I cannot thank you.  I had nearly blotted out that memory.  Saw that with a friend and his family a long time ago.  If I remember it right, one of his parents was really pumped about the movie.  Then we watched it...

I remember seeing Flesh for Frankenstein in the theater when it was re-released during the early 80's 3-D boom. Aside from eye popping gore and nudity (well, at least for me at the time), I recall some guy in the audience laughing his ass off at the more colorful displays of blood and guts.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.
