A family revenge and a dog?

Hello everyone, do any of you happen to know the name of this movie I remember? It was most probably from the 90's and the family dog is killed (a car hits it) and the family then kills the driver and wraps him/her in something and throws the body in a river? The dog was the same breed like Scooby Doo, but it was white or gray. I don't remember the country, so it could be a USA movie or a European one (English or German?) Any help will be appreciated. :smile:

Sounds like it could be "Dead Dog" or "The Dog Killer" (alternate title) with Jeremy Sisto...

The people in the movie you said the couple don't have children while in the one that I'm looking for they had children.
