i saw the movie in mid '80s as a kid and things that i remember are limited:

it was kinda indiana jones rip off movie, set in dark south american jungles (probably a hunt for lost aztec treasures?)
deep in jungle, movie characters became victims of some creatures that looks like giant bats- at least they have wings like bats
and they surround their victims with their wings and devour them (only bones left)

any info?

I think you're getting a few flicks mixed together here, but the bat-men that wrap their wings around people and devour them.... they come from "The Beastmaster" (released in 1982) starring Marc Singer!
Here's the IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083630/

Hope that's the flick you're thinking of.

There aren't any bat-creatures with wings in Treasure of the Four Crowns.
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

It's not set in South America, but I think this is the moie you're looking for.

i don't think it's one of them, maybe you are right, i am mixing movies in my mind but somewhat sure that it was not set in dark ages like the beastmaster ( never saw the movie, by the way)

could it be possible that stacy keach in it? i got faint memories about a guy who looks like stacy keach is the main character but i checked all the stacy keach movies of that era, from the imdb with no results. (only thing which comes close is some cannibal movie but i am not sure)

well thanks anyway

There was a horror flick about S. American cannibal-monsters. I don't remember if they were bats, but check this out, "Dance of the Dwarves"

I thought it might have been Dance of the Dwarves too.
But the statement of the bat people wrapping their wings around their victims and devouring them until nothing but bones were left nailed it as The Beastmaster for me.
At the end of Beastmaster, the entire Jun horde is wiped out in that manner.

You never know though...maybe mchief is thinking of both films and got them mixed up.
