Which online movie rental do you use?

My choice : Blockbuster

PRO:  I like Blockbuster mainly because I can return them to the store and get some new movies right then, no mail back or waiting. Soon as I check them in at Blockbuster they are counted as returned and the next one ship generally the next day and I leave with more movies without waiting.

CON: Not as many B, obscure, art house, rare, or grindhouse titles I'd like to see. Tend to be more mainstream in their selection. They have some, just not to many.

Shipping can ranges from 2 to 3 days, but being able to basically double you rentals with returns to the store is a big bonus and the 2 to 3 days is not that long.

I'm with Netflix. I'm usually in no rush to get my next movie, so waiting an extra day or two doesn't bother me. Plus, the nearest Netlfix shipping center is about two miles from my house, which means my turn around time for movies is super fast anyway.

BTW, anyone who is considering QuikFliks should read this:

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

NetFlix for me. Like Shadowfyre, no rush to to see my next movie and I'm not that far from a netflix center either.

I'm not close to anything ... I get my new releases from the store and the harder to find or old stuff online. I drive by blockbuster every day so it's not out of the way. That and the girlies are cute! :teddyr:

Netflix here.

I've had people try to get me to switch to Blockbuster in the past citing the cheaper price, quick in-store turnaround, etc.

Here are my complaints with that:

A.  Netflix may be a few dollars more, but they've never screwed me.

B.  Netflix doesn't edit their films, but Blockbuster does.

C.  Blockbuster doesn't carry very many truly unrated films.  If it's an unrated version of a PG-13 film, that's fine.  Good luck trying to find an unrated/NC-17 copy of A Dirty Shame there.

D.  Blockbuster doesn't have nearly the selection of cult, exploitation, horror, underground films that Netflix does.

E.  It is a b***h trying to find a new release at Blockbuster.  I never have any trouble getting new releases from Netflix.

F.  I've had numerous arguments and run ins with the management at the local Blockbuster.  One especially bad run in was when the manager told me that they did not and would not carry Land Of The Dead due to the political message of the film.

F**k that.  I'll stick with Netflix.

I have good luck then they have the NC-17 of Dirty Shame and tons of unrated. I aways find new releases at the store (keep in mind I'm in a small town) and my BB is a independently owned not a corporate store, they might be different. They've got Land of the Dead both at the store and online. R rated online and unrated at the store.

Sorry you had bad luck with them, I never have.

We have 3-at-a-time Netflix. It usually works out to be one for me, one for my wife and one for the children at a time.

One thing that I find curious is that the 'bringing it back to the store' is often cited as a "pro" for Blockbuster.  Now, if I wanted to drive to Blockbuster, I wouldn't need Netflix or any other mail rental service.  To each their own, and all that.  I'm not criticizing those that like this feature, just stating that it is not for me.  I'm about a 20 minute drive from BB and cannot stand their lack of selection, so going to the store is NOT a plus.

I like the convenience of Netflix, the turn around times are generally quite good, they have LOTS of interesting looking movies and I've only had to send one cracked disk back to them in over a year.

Looks like I'm the lone BB member, it's only about 5 minutes from me and as I said I drive right by it every day so it's like what ... 100 feet out of my way. Our store has an OK selection, but I admit Movie Gallery got them beat hands down on in store selection. However the mom and pop store got them both beat by 1000's. My neighbors had NetFlix and I guess we're not close to a drop because they switched due to the time it took to get their movies.
