The Unborn (1991)

I remember seeing the box for this movie when I was a kid, and being a bit disturbed by it...recently I saw it come on Sci-Fi, and decided to give it a go. 

It's a fairly simple plot.  A woman who can't get pregnant gets help from a stange scientist, who's been fooling around with DNA and things of that sort, creating a race of wild babies that kill in a variety of gruesome ways. 

This is indeed a bad movie, but not in the usual amusing way.  This is a very nasty, and unpleasant kind of bad movie.  I felt like I needed a shower after watching it.  Maybe it has something to do with me being spooked by Alien when I was younger, but I'm just not a big fan of movies that dabble in this kind of subject matter.

It tries to trump It's Alive! and falls short.  Oddly enough, they made a sequel to this flick.  How that went, I'm not sure.  I never bothered to watch.
