Monster Squad on DVD July 24th!!!

HOLY CRAP!  Some divine power has seen fit to release the 2-disc special edition of Monster Squad, the same day as the two-disc special edition of the "Host!" My heart aches with joy! Anyway, yes, "The Monster Squad" will be on DVD July 24th with these extras:

- Audio commentary by writer/director Dekker and cinematographer Bradford May
- Audio commentary by Dekker and actors Andre Gower, Ashley Bank and Ryan Lambert
- Wolf Man's Got Nards! The Making of THE MONSTER SQUAD documentary
- Deleted and extended scenes
- Monster Mania reunion featurette
- Vintage interview with Tom Noonan
- Poster and still gallery
- Theatrical trailer
- TV spot

You can get more info and see the NEW (and crappy) cover art HERE at the Creature Corner. If you ask me, they should've went with the classic cover instead of this. It looks like the kid is about to give ole Drac a BJ. (Ewwww....) In any case, I'll just be glad to have a beautiful widescreen transfer of the movie with a lot of extras, so I guess I can live with that cover art. Rejoice Monster Squad fans! Our time has come!

I was roaming around Ain't It Cool News and found an interesting article about the classic 80's comedy Monster Squad was FINALLY COMING TO DVD JULY 24th!

And in a 2 disc fully loaded SE as well!

Well, at least now we know what one of those deleted/extended scenes is about. We discovered Wolf Man's got nards, now we learn that Dracula's still work...  *slurp*slurp*GAG*barf*
