I don't know what it was.  It could have been the cavemen catapulting gumballs, Hell's Basement with the Flashlight God, or the numerous allusions to rachets, but I think there was supposed to be an underlying message in Six String Samurai.  I can only assume  that the Kid represents the current generation, Buddy represents good ol' fashioned rock, and Death (obviously) represents heavy metal.  If anybody would like to throw in their own interpretations, then please, I'm dying to hear them.  I've seen it about three times now, and I get the feeling I'm still only getting about half of it.

Welcome aboard, Atomic Andrew!

I'm not certain that there was any message beyond "this is weird and fun," but there could be an analogy, buried underneath, of an aging rocker battling against a changing world and passing his legacy onto the next generation.

I was able to see the first 10 minutes of this film on Comcast On Demand, but didn't have time to watch it all. Then they took it off. Looks interesting.

All I can figure is that it's part father/son bonding film, part coming-of-age film, and part Wizard of Oz - with Russians, cannibals, and kung fu thrown in for good measure.  One of my favorites, though, and the soundtrack by The Red Elvises is simply fantastic.

Where can I get this puppy? I've been anting a crack at it for a long time. Any lfilm with the Red Elvises has to rock.

I tried at the local Hollywood Video.  I looked under Sci-Fi, Action, Cult Classics, and even Special Interest (you never know, Special Interests section can be like a grab bag sometimes).  I eventually found it under the Comedy section, and after watching it, I can see why.
