When i was a kid, I watched a horror movie, and it scared me to death for day. So much so, I couldnt be alone without thinking "they" were going to get me! Now, a good 20+ years later, I am DESPERATELY trying to recall the name of the film so i can watch it again.

I can only remember a couple of sketchy details, so if anyone can help, I'll be amazed and hugely impressed(!)

PLOT....ish:

At the beginning of the film, people were on a commercial plane, probably going on vacation or something

For whatever reason, the plane crashed/landed on and "island"

The people on the plane (or at least some) survived. The island was foresty, with some architecture.

The 'island' was populated by men with very scarred heads, and wearing sunglasses(!)

If the sunglasses were pulled off, they died.

These men turned out to want nothing more than to kill the people from the plane at all costs

The men were very 'zombified' but werent zombies.

One death was by drowning, where a scarred cunglasses wearing man held a guy/girl underwater and dronwed them

At the end of the film, some people escaped on a plane, but when the plane got back to civilisation, some radiation accident or something had turned them all into the same scarred, sunglasses wearing killers as were on the island.

If anyone can help, I will be hugely grateful!

Rayo Casablanca

RCMErchant's guess is as good as mine. I'd throw the Zombi sequels to Lucio Fulci's original in as well. Check out Zombi 3 and Zombi 4. Islands. Scarred. Radiation.

By jove, i think that maybe it! Will do some poking before i can say for sure, but even some of those scenes (like the drowning one) were very familiar. Thanks peeps!
