Decapitated head in claw-like hand/appendage

Black and White film, I'm thinking.

The scene is on the beach, and an alien being or monster has a human head in it's claw and that's all I remember.

Possibly another movie preview, probably about the same time frame as the Sci-Fi color movie I just posted about.

Not much to go on, but at 10 years of age, those images have stuck with me for over 40 years..off and on...lol

It reminds me of the time I went to see 'The Blob' with Steve McQueen in that same small town Texas theater as a kid and I was scared plenty.

Then when I watched it with my daughter when she was about 7 and we boththought it was pretty cheesy.

She's now 28 and we're always bringing up obscure titles to try to retrieve these two old movies that are stuck in my brain tissue somewhere.

That scene is from The MONSTER of PIEDRAS BLANCAS. Most positive! It's a 50's film...a low budget BLACK LAGOON copy...only the MONSTER likes to decap his victums.

Yeah!  That's definitely the monster!  How cool!  Thanks, glad to be here. 

Now if you can identify the 4 astronauts in a life raft ( my previous post) I'll be 100% looking for those.

Any idea is it's still available?
